The Commercial students, for whom he was a home-room teacher, 'Found in him a friend who good-naturedly shared their problems and took a true interest in all of their work. When we were slow in learning, his patience was un- ending. His pleasing personality cheered many a blue Mon- day. We shall never forget his gay sense of humor. In his tour years at Mars, he taught science, civics, math, and physical education. Last fall, he left Mars to serve our country. Our admiration for you, Mr. Thompson, is indeed great and to you we dedicate the 1951 Planet. 5
