Run entirely by midshipmen, the bat- talion meets once a week on Thurs- days for a two hour period of instruc- tion and drill. During the Fall Semester, Midn UC Dave Wong assumed command and, with the hel p of BNXO M id n U C Keith 5' Martens, ran an efficient and motivated H W 1 3 t battalion. Under the command of Midn UC Dave Gou Id, the S pri n 9 semester bat- talion fared equally well. He and BNXO Midn UC John Miller worked hard to keep the battalion up to its excellent standard. Several battalion-wide events were held in the Spring, includ- ing the Navy Ball and the Battalion RuntPicni. These events helped to in- crease morale and unity among the midshipmen. Overall, the 1987-88 school year saw an already excellent battalion become an exceptionally outstanding battalion, one of the best in the nation.
