Each one of us looks forward to it with delight; we revel joyfully in its every moment. In sum and substance, it boils down to this fact -e WE LIKE LIBERTY! Naturally, something so important as liberty should not, if we wish to obtain the complete benefits of it, be gone upon without proper forethought and preparation. Why should precious liberty time be wasted in getting ready and in deciding what to do, when it can be done earlier in the week? Some of the preparations for liberty must begin about Monday. Many of us are seen every Monday or Tuesday taking a liberty uniform to the cleaners. Of course, Pietila is always going to the cleaners. Sometimes it might become necessary to raise funds. This problem seems to be en- countered immediately after pay day. It is not considered a good idea to permit this detail to slide until the latter part of the week as someone else might decide to spend the cherished nugget. Of course you will never find yourself in a position where you must make a conscientious effort to think of something to do while on liberty. Dreams of what we intend to do or where we want to go just seem to steal upon us with no strain at all. It you have progressed this far, all you need do now is wait for Saturday morning. About 1100 you start cleaning up, retrieve a pair of well-shined shoes from under the Hsack , brush off the liberty uniform and await inspection. Inspection, in itself, is relatively simple. It is an easy matter to stand at attention for a brief 15 minutes while an officer casually looks you over to see if the uniform is clean and neat. You might even become angered as layer after layer of Milwaukee's clear atmos- phere settles down upon you, but still it is doubtful if this ever kept anyone in on a week- end.
