.............. x'.. .3 .- ? z .xx' 5x EIMPANY III PLatunn I A-31 has in its midst the most unique and typically HNavy canglamaratian at Hsalts an the Marquette campus. Lang remembered in later years will be all the special incidents and happenings an Stratford's 4th deck; the dif- ferent capabilities and eccentricities at platoon members; Vaarhees' Hweekly excursions to the Hbarber shop ; the ancient excuse of Sabaleski's about the peacaat button that Hjust fell off this morning ; that ah-sa-pieasant voice of Lou Simmons which appears to us only as an outlet for Lou's pent-up miserye-ah yes-v- these are but a few at the things we shall never forget! MATTLlIN PLatuun II Soon after arriving at Marquette University, the fellows pictured below were assembled to farm the second platoon at the third com- pany. it one happens to be a member at A-32, it means of course, that he is an the fourth deck, minus elevator service. Although far removed from mother's influence, the fellows remain perfect little gentlemen. Perhaps it is the influence and example set by our HChiet . He loves to have the bays came over at 1600 and tell him all at their little troubles. But, despite our many troubles we manage to main- tain a semblance of happiness for the glory of A-32. i 93558-- .: '4'V ; ...... TTTT

There are men from Iowa State, Oberlin, University of Michigan, Great Lakes and some of the V-S men that were such a rarity during the Novem- ber term. Although A-21 didn't do so well in basketball and baseball, a large share of the talent for the Hsmoker was taken from this platoon and it will be a long time before the Hsmoker wilt ever be forgotten. Thus, A-Zl displays its talents in fields where others do not tread. 323$... E IATT xxxxxxxxxxxmwmwm LINI PLatuun II This is A-ZZ! Practicing dashes in the hall is Bob Swain. L And of course we do have musicians. Ali hours of the day we hear trumpet tones and the incessant beating of drums. it grates on one's nerves and, at length, a twitch devei- opes. This is too much!
