Medicine ' Grants for research and training in medicine totaled over a half million dollars during the first half of this school year. Included in this amount were grants for senior research fellowships as well as those for graduate and faculty research. Nearly all of the grants were for specific fields of study. Heart, circulation, physiology, cancer and preclinical science were the subjects of recent awards from civil and private agencies such as the American Heart association, the United States Public Health Service and the American Cancer society.
