The school. under the direction of Dr. John S. Hirschboeck. boasts a faculty of more than 350 and offers degrees of Doctor of Medicine and. in cooperation with the Graduate school. also gives degrees of Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy in the basic sciences and a Master of Science in the clinical specialties. Officially restored to the Medical school in 1954, the department of Medical Technology otlers a four-year curriculum leading to a degree of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Director of the department since August 1. 1958 has been Miss Alice M. Semrad. The department of Physical Therapy. di- rected by Miss Beth J. Phillips. was established in July. 1951. The hrst class was graduated in June, 1956. A four-year curriculum leads to a degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. The Rev. Vincent J. O'Flaherty. S.J., has been student counselor of the School of Medicine since September. 1958. pg
