Men of prayer and IoyaI sacrifice 1' 1-q 1q.. l i ACADEMIC Behind him the Vision of Ignatius and Xavier-the magni- ficent tradition of Jesuit education, before him a sea of heads, a sea upon which the world will someday sink or swim. A hand is raised and a question is asked. He must be able to answer this question and hundreds, thousands, of others. It is he who must act as instructor, counselor, guide, and friend. This great responsibility of Catholic education has been realized by Marquette High and ac- cepted by a fine team of Iaymen, scholastics, and priests. Many members of this team have carried this responsibility for the last IO to 20 or more years, some are now weII on their way to the ranks of the veterans, some are just be- ginning their record of long service. Marquette High is grateful to these men-men of a gigantic vision-men of the tradition of Igantius and Xavier.
