Consideration for the poor of Christ FR. JOHN EAGAN, S.J., sodality coordinator, meets with Catholic Action and sophomore Sodality moderators and prefects to discuss means for sanctifying the men of Marquette. They are fl. to r.J Fr. John Eagan, S.J., Gary Foy, Mike Upton, Mr. Donald Driscoll, S.J., Dennis Holleran, Fr. Robert Hoene, S.J., John Sustar, Mr. Francis Mininni, S.J., Steve Keane, Mr. Daniel Kenney, S.J. Sodality ancl Catholic Action THE SODALITY and Caholic Action groups seek to develop the practical spiritual, side of the Marquette High student. The Sodality's main force is mental prayer while Catholic Action employs various physical projects to help others while it builds its members. The way to best communicate with God is to talk to Him within the quiet of one's self. With this in mind the Sodolity urges and instructs its members in mental prayer. lt teaches them, in a manner of speaking, to talk to God. Self-sanctitication, now and in later life, is the supreme goal of the Marquette Sodalist. Catholic Action, meanwhile, seeks to aid the other half in the sanctification of its members. Working with the needy, the mentally ill, and the physically handicapped, the Catholic Actionists come to a realization of the responsibilities of their place in life. Forging a better world through self-application is the work and ideal of Marquette High's Catholic Action organization.
