In these hundred years, Wisconsin has developed from a comparative wilderness into one of the foremost states of the Union. She has seen thriving commercial and industrial cities grow up around the pioneer settlements of that day. Her mighty forests have been cleared to make room for the prosperous farms of America's Dairylandf' To our glorious state, this year celebrating one hundred years of progress, we dedicate this yearbook. Secondly, we hope that this yearbook may be a token of appreciation and gratitude to Mr. John Fountain, who has served Marquette High School so devotedly during the past quarter of a century. 1948
