D K V EK L O P I N G The 1987-88 basketball team had 8 members, with only one re- turning letterwinner, Jacky Moore. Although the Cubs season turned out to be unfortunate, their record (0-16) doesn’t show how hard they worked! An obstacle in the way to victory was lack of numbers. Lack of numbers pushed our endurance level to the limit. This year gave a young team much experience, which will help in the years to come! Good Luck.

TRACK AND FIELD 88 This year’s track team had considerable success The boys and girls combined their effort and three qual ified for state. The team members were, Dara J., Lisa P., Jennifer P., Mark V., Wayne Y., Jae C. and Kevin M. Mark V. qualified for state track after breaking the school record at the district track meet. He also qualified in discus and proved an excellent athlete by placing 4th in that event. He also placed 3rd in the shot-put Peggy S. qualified and ran in the 400. Jae C. partici pated in the triple jump. Congratulations for a job well done. Mark gives the discus a whirl. Dara lets the discus rip as Mr . Faeh takes cover. Peggy concentrates on her “kick” at the Kevin works hard to keep the lead he has built. end of her race.
