Holtan, Curt Moore, Scott Montgomery, Phillip MARQUETTE 38 Fairmont VanBibber, and Richard Buck. The Cubs went 7-2 this Marquette GILTNER year just missing on a pl ay-off berth. Members receiving MARQUETTE Silver Creek honors were, Lynn Menke: Allstate Offensive Back, CRC MARQUETTE ae all-conf. lst team, ended Sr. Year with a total of 4,500 yds. MVP off. member of ’85 8-man all star team. Ken MARQUETTE Exeter Russell: Honor mention allstate Linebacker, lst team MARQUETTE Hordville CRC Linebacker, 2nd team Guard, MVP Defense, overall Marquette McCOOL MVP and Mr. Stick, KMMJ Dream Team Member of ’85 MARQUETTE Polk 8-man all star team. Mike Larson: was lst team CRC Center, Honorable Ment. Linebacker, Hon. Ment. World Herald’s FB Team. Blake Sanderson, Ritchie Petersen and Dana Harris all received Honorable Ment. from the G.I. HOMECOMING This year Homecoming began with spirit week. Many students participated including teachers, staff, and elementary students. The week began with Senior Citizen Day. The winners were Monica Hutsell and Billy Mersch. Tuesday was Career Day. The winners were Craig Bames- burger and Melanie Holtan. Due to school pictures, Wednesday was Dress- Up Day. Making the perfect couple for the prom were Dennis Saum and Lisa Ferguson. Thursday was Hawaiian Day. The winners were Ken Russell and Marni Nelson. Friday was Blue and Gold Day. Showing the most school spirit was Greg Ruzicka and Tonja Jacobsen. The 1984 Homecoming Royalty was crowned Friday afternoon at the corona- tion ceremony. Ken Russell and Lisa Ortegren were crowned king and queen. Attendants were Lynn Menke and Melissa Nelson. Following the coronation ceremony there was a parade down Main Street. Every class participated, including the elementary school. Homecoming week was highlighted by the victory of both the volleyball and football teams over Hordville. The 1984 Homecoming was a very busy time for everyone. It was also a very memorable occasion. t
