Danny Boyce Tommy Buck Jason Christenson Scott Jackson Lonnie Jones CLASS OF 1994 Levi Reyner David Sorenson Peggy Swanson The big event of our school year was the birth of Mrs. Creech’s baby girl, Stephanie. Mrs. Hazel Hill substituted for Mrs. Creech. Herb Bankson was our volunteer. In our Math Classes, each student is trying to become a “wizard” in giving correct answers to the addition and subtraction facts in second grade; in third grade, the multiplication and division of facts. “A Bunch of Golden Keys is Mine” was on the lips of the second and third grade citizens. Each key is a good manners key and it opens the door of Politeness. What do you know about Marquette? is On one of the bulletin boards. Each student has put on an information fact about Marquette of long ago or in the present time. Who is the oldest male and female resident in Marquette? Did you know Marquette once had a flour mill? When Marquette celebrates its centennial this summer, the second and third grade youngsters will be enthusiastic boosters! We celebrated Nebraska’s 115th birthday, March 41, with a blue and gold birthday cake. In Social Studies class we are learning about our state, nation, and the world. An electrician talked to us about his profession on Friday, March 12. He was in charge of wiring, etc., for the new addition to the building. Our cursive writing improved. We used the d’Nealion Method for four years, in Marquette Schools. The Grand Island Schools thought they were the only elementary school in the state using this method. This statement was published in the Grand Island Independent. A second grade student wrote a letter to the editor stating the status of Marquette.
