Julie Kauffman has “lots and lots” of school spirit Homecoming King and Queen 1979-80 were announced on Friday, October 5, 1979. “The Way We Were” was the theme for this year’s homecoming festivities. Allen Andersen, junior, gave the welcome followed by master of ceremonies Brian Menke, junior, who introduced the skits. It was a clean sweep by the sophomore class taking first place in both the skit and wall contests. Spirit Week winners were announced by Mrs. Bobbie Abele and Mr. Doug Gilson. An enthusiastic pep talk was given by football coach, Mr. Steve Jacobsen. At halftime of the football game with Rising City the royalty was escorted onto the football field in Corvettes. A dance was held in the gym following the game. Supt. Hatch?
