However, it wasn’t all work for they enjoyed a party with the seventh graders at the York Community Center. They participated in swimming, ping pong, pool and foos ball. Later they enjoyed a snack at Tom’s Drive In. They learned to be better proofreaders of compositions, enhanced their writing activities and have been working on a new idea of a junior high block. This block consists of two periods each day with Mrs. Carnes in the curricular areas of language arts and social studies. They had a car wash, slave days and several concessions at volleyball, football and basketball games. Their big project for the year was planning the Freshmen-Senior Party which they had at Skate Island in Grand Island; later they enjoyed lunch.
