Chorus Rises to New Heights Mr. Larry Decker followed the proverb “Practice Makes Perfect” and the chorus put in many long hours to perfect the sound produced. RRR Ree The chorus performed at the Soup Supper, and at Christmas and Spring Concerts. They attended the vocal clinic in York and District Music Contest in Fairmont. At District Contest they received a II rating. Also perform- ing at Contest were the sextet, receiving a Il; the duet and quartet each getting a Ill and soloists Doris Peterson and Roxane Andersen each receiving a Il. Doris Peterson, Jackie Hutsell, Brenda Dietrich and Daryl Harney represented the chorus at Doane College Music Festival. The chorus sang in Vanosdall, | Harney, in H | D at Baccalaureate and Commencement. Chorus members Marvin Vanosdall, Daryl Harney, Kevin Herrold and Don Meyer practice their parts diligently in order to achieve perfection. Mrs. Janet Andersen practicing. Back row: Mr Larry Decker, Ron Dickinson, Barb Klawonn, Mark Vanosdall, Christine Blum, Linda Johnston, Cindy Larson, Susan Harris Although the band was small this year they worked hard to get a good sound. They played at home football and basketball games and marched in the Harvest of Harmony and Central City Veterans Day Parades. They showed their talents by performing at the Soup Supper, Christmas Concert, CRC Instrumental Clinic and Pre-Contest Concert. In the District Music Contest they were rated at Il. B-Band, which consists of grade school and junior high, held a Mid- Winter Concert in which they per- formed. Stage Band proved themselves when they received a Superior rating at the District Music Contest. They attended a Stage Band Festival at Doane and pertormed at the Soup Supper, Christ- mas, Mid-Winter and Spring Concerts. Sherlock Holmes, we need your help. Solve this mystery!
