Girls Join M-Club A change was made in M-Club this year by allowing girls to join which upped the membership to 25. To keep busy throughout the school year, the group sold cub jackets to students and community members to help boost school spirit. The many fund raising activities helped finance Homecoming and the Athletic Banquet. An old organization got a fresh start with the forma- tion of a group which allowed boys and girls grades 7-12 to participate in the backing of the spirit of MHS. Mr. Jacobsen sponsored us in moneymaking projects which consisted of selling “All-American” gift kits and run- ning a concession stand at all home football, volleyball and basketball games. The money earned from these projects was used to prepare Homecoming and Athletic Banquet ac- tivities. We also sponsored a blanket toss for the Easter Seal Foundation during the halftime of the basketball games. After the first year of Spirit Club, changes were made to improve the organization.
