Rhonda Nutzman found a new friend. FHA visited the School for Exceptional Children. FHA Faces New Challenges FHA members worked hard on many different activities which kept them busy. We again held the annual Salad Supper which is our only money-making project. There was a large turn out with good food for everyone. A Christmas party was held with every member having a “secret sister”. It was a lot of fun for the girls to try and guess their “sister”. As a special project the FHA made several trips to the School for Exceptional Children. It was a learning session for both the children and FHA members. To get organized for next year, installation of the 1977-1978 officers was held in Central City on April 12. There was good participation at District and State Convention where many new ideas and suggestions were brought home.

Junior High Chorus practice. Vocal Department This year the 29 members of the mixed chorus under the direction of Ms. Anne Day performed in the Christmas Concert, the Spring Concert, the CRC vocal clinic, graduation ceremonies and the district music contest. Vocal ratings received at the music contest were Swing Choir - 11 and Roxane Andersen - 11. The Swing Choir spent many long hours learning new routines with the help of guitarists Gordon and Mark Harris, Ron Dickinson playing the drums and accompanist Marcia Pierson. The group performed at Larsen’s Rest Home in Aurora, the Christmas Concert and the Spring Concert. Dickinson, Jackie Hutsell, Ms. Anne Day, Mark Harris. Ron gets in some practice. Gordon helps Ron keep the beat.

Girls Join M-Club A change was made in M-Club this year by allowing girls to join which upped the membership to 25. To keep busy throughout the school year, the group sold cub jackets to students and community members to help boost school spirit. The many fund raising activities helped finance Homecoming and the Athletic Banquet.
