SENIOR HISTORY 1950-Sl, 21 freshmen enrolled in Marquand High School. 1953-Sh, 16 seniors are graduating. 1950-Sl, the freshmen sponsored two bakesalesg helped with the candy and soda sales at the ball gamesg most of the girls sang in glee club, several members of the class played on the volleyball and basketball teams. 1951-52, sponsored a bakesale, a pie and box supper, most of the girls continued glee club work, again several members played on the volleyball and the basketball teams. 1952-53, sponsored the first Marquand High School Annual, most of girls continued glee club work, several members played on the volleyball and the basketball teams. Activities toward raising funds for senior trip: slave day, a bakesale, two lunch days, work day, a Lester Band program, and a junior play. 1953-Sh, again sponsoring the M. H. S. Annual, sponsored Christmas program, nine girls com- pleting fourth year in glee club, six girls participating on volleyball team, four boys Q playing on volleyball team, and four on the basketball team. The following activities it centered toward obtaining rest of funds for senior ii'.' 'W trip: sold bracelets, magazines, 'ff Christmas cards, operated candy, soda, and popcorn standg and senior play.
