' ’Memories” Is Made of This; Deadlines and dates; headlines and head- aches! Captions, covers, classes to get out of! Since the beginning of September, words like these have been flying back and fo ’th by the dozens every day after school in room 202. Ads and art- work, jaunts to the printers, litters of letters, photos, proofs, rushing, writing, reading copy, running to recruit someone else to work ! literary Staff: M. McCrumm, L. Hopkins, J. Morse, B. Baran, B. Wein, R Weinerman, S. Wright, L. Muroff, A. Frazer, B. Jewett, S. Skulrak, G. Simpson, L. Stern. Memories ’ is Made of Zkis Yes, this was the scene at which Memories took shape under the deft hands of Editor-in Chief Larry Stern, Assistant-Editors Martha McCrumm and Alan Frazer, the staff. But without the advice and stable leadership of Mrs. Marie Nigro, it might have taken the shape of something like an unguided missile. Fortunately, Mrs. Nigro kept yearbook and staff safely on the ground from September to zero hour, and both are still intact. S. Fisher, J. Morris, J. Jackson, B. Cohen, S. Armstrong, C. Fry, R. The longest noses in Marple- Newtown belong to the members of the Mar-News staff - noses for news, that is. To realize we ' re only speaking figuratively here, all you have to do is to look at our two pretty co- editors, Dottie Stewart and Jo Anne Snyder. With the untiring guidance of their sponsor, Mrs. Margaret Leister, Dottie and JoAnne and all the other editors and staff members have kept those noses to the grindstone (and ears to the ground) all year to make the Mar-News more sparkling and newsy than ever. 22
