Mr. Stem Says Zke Men behind Us Congratulations members of the class of 1960! To each of you I extend my best wishes for happiness and success. The American poet, Henry David Thoreau, once said, If you have built cas- tles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. Undoubtedly each of you of the class of 1960 aspires to some goal or has built a castle in the air . If you can remain steadfast in this purpose, if you can per- severe in your efforts, if you are willing to work hard, you have all that is necessary to build a foundation under your castle. WILLIAM F. NYE Principal The school yearbook presents a pictorial record of the activities of a school year. It depicts the total program of the school and identifies the personnel and activities of the most active group in the school, the Senior Class. The work involved in the production of a good school yearbook requires the time and effort of many pupils who are interested and talented in the area of publications. To these people, --the administration, faculty, and pupils of the 1959-60 school term of the Marple-Newtown Senior High School owe a debt of gratitude. In behalf of the school I extend sincere appreciation to the staff mem- bers and the adviser of this yearbook for a fine and useful annual. I join the School Board and the person- nel of the school in urging you to maintain an active interest in the affairs of your school as an alumni member and to seek any ser- vices of the school which may assist you in the achievement of your personal goals.
