It has been said that such an education should pro- vide training in the fundamental processes such as reading, writing, arithmetic, etc., worthy home membership, worthy use of leisure time, good citizenshi]), health, vocations, and ethical character. You will remem- ber that all of these aims have been considered by you during your progress through Marjjle-Newtown High School. All too often do we see the adidt in after-life utterly forgetting the lessons that he should have gained from certain of these goals. Try, then, to kee{) all of these aims before you. Maintain an interest in intellectual matters; be a worthy member of a home; turn your leisure periods to good account; at all times jjerform your civic duties to the best of your ability; ta ke care of your health; keep studying to improve your .skill in your chosen vocation; strive diligently to develop your ability to differentiate between right and wrong. If you do all of these things, you will have developed into an adult with a well-rounded education, the goal which your training at Marple- Newtown High School intended you to reach. The outstanding pitching ability of “Franny” Tal- bot and the marvelous fielding and liitting of the entire team proved too much for our opponents. Our boys have won all their league games to date and are undisputed champions of Section Five of the Phila- delphia Suburban league.
