CLASS HISTORY In the fall of ' 65 we entered M.F.H.S. as lowly fredimen under the leadership of Mr. Fentem and Mr. Lindberg. Our 74 members elected Larry Day as President, Nel¬ son Mosley as Vice President, Bonnie Hardy as Secretary, and Cynthia Leslie as Treas¬ urer. For our Homecoming candidates we chose Tami Taylor, Bonnie Hardy, Glen Morgan, and Mike Hassinger. Our Homecoming float placed 2nd. Looking forward to the Christmas Dance, we chose Bonnie Hardy, Marsha Vaughan, and Terry Morris as our candidates. During the year we lost Earl Bush, Glen Campbell, and Florence Har¬ rington. We returned as sophomores in the fall of 66 and elected the following class officers. Glen Morgan, President; Rosey Alexander, Vice President; Roxanne Stoutenborough, Secretary; and Debby Malone, Treasurer. Our class now had 76 members. We gained Marsha Lane, Mary Ann Loga, Dorothy Campbell, Pat Boyd, Judy Kennison, and Teresa Deloney. Our sponsors were Mr. Schuller, and Mr. Wilhour. For Homecoming candi¬ dates we chose Bonnie Hardy, Tami Taylor, Pat Windlan, and Denny Kapper. Our Christmas Dance candidates were Bonnie Hardy, Becky Current, John Halicki and Pat Windlan. We returned to school as upperclassmen in the fall of ' 67. Our class officers were President, Debby Malone; Vice-President, Sharon Schick; Secretary Pam Heinz; and Treasurer, Kim Marsh. Our Junior year was highlighted by our Junior play Meet Cor¬ liss Archer.” The Junior-Senior Prom, held at the Southside Country Club, was another high spot. It consists of 43 Corvairs. DAVID BOOMER is the star of a pro baseball league. His fans chant Spuds No. 1. PAT BOYD, (No, she’s not Mr. Boyd’s daughter), but she is the new English teacher at M.F.H.S. We guess that the name Boyd will always linger on in this high school. SANDY BURNS is now in Cuba. This is the tenth time Sandy ' s plane has been hijacked. She is thinking of giving up the job as an airline stewardess. PENNY BUTLER is now working for Bell Telephone Company as an operator. DEBBIE CARDER is now a dental assistant for Dr. Crouch. He pulls the teeth, and Deb¬ bie administers the gas. PAM CARRIER is now Mr. Schuller ' s assistant in Chemistry. I guess Pam just couldn’t bear to leave that fascinating class. JOHN CARTER now owns the Carter Diaper Service. He gets free diapers for all his little Carters. GARY CHANDLER, the famous noon-hour basketball whiz at Maroa, is now playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, at half-time only. BECKY CURRENT is now owner of Current’s De-Fuzz Shop. It is located on Broad¬ way Street in Decatur. We knew she ' d get rid of those curls somehow. FRANCEY DAUGHERTY has now been married for six years. Francey and her husband Tree now have three little branches . LARRY DAY is now principal at M.F.H.S. He breaks his paddle over Charlie Land, Jr. quite often. STAN DIAL has now opened up his chain of Charm and Etiquette Schools. We under¬ stand he ran Patricia Stevens out of the business. PAM ELLIS now has her own television program called, The Beautiful Pam Ellis Show, co-starring Phyllis Diller. We knew that laugh would get her somewhere. STUART HALL now owns a pig farm southeast of Maroa. He grew fond of them while playing their parts in the speech play and the Sophomore Float. BONNIE HARDY has just finished her 989 page book on How to Catch Your Boyfriend in a Lie or at Another Girl ' s House. ' We hear it is on the Top Ten Best Sellers List in the country.
