We have tried to fill it with the many memories we have of Maroa-Forsyth High School. We hope that it gives you many hours of enjoyment now and in the future. Our thanks go to the faculty and to the student body for their patience and cooperation during the months spent in compiling it. A special thanks goes to our staff for their contributions. Thus, we present this book to you; may it bring memories that will live through the years. Thank you, 1917-1963 Jolui P. klfiaWy Can ever quite pass out of utter grief And wholly perish. -Robert Frost We vainly wrestle with the blind belief That aught we cherish To Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fentem, whose patience and wisdom have helped us realize the many opportunities of life, we, the Senior Class of 1964, dedicate this annual. l-llglv Sc koct I like high schools that nestle In quiet little towns, And seem to offer something more Than credits, caps and gowns. I like classes filled with friends Who have a smile for me; I don ' t like teachers who know me as Row 31, seat 3. I hate to meet a former teacher ' s Unrecognizing stare; I like the kind who know your name, Your hopes, your love affair. I like ' colleges which strive to learn Years later where you are; Yes, even tho ' you ' ve never been A campus queen or star. A mammoth institution holds Within its office space. Along with proof of my degree, A photo of my face. The most it knows about me is My city, birth and class; I like my old high school best; She doesn ' t think en masse. She ' ll gaily cheer each grad’s career With faith that ' s optimistic; To her a former student is No musty old statistic. I like high schools that nestle In quiet little towns and Offer students something more Than credits, caps and gowns. A Ciutjusitattoa T v tt Clm 4 1964 cui L SttwWfc BWy It is my pleasure to congratulate the members of the Class of 64 on their fine accomplishments. To the co-editors of this fine yearbook go special congratulations. It has been a rewarding experience for me to be associated with this fine class. For that matter, all of the students of Maroa-Forsyth High have made my job a most enjoyable one. As you look back over your experiences at at our school I am confident you will remember so many good times. The reason you will remember so many good things about our school is because it could not possibly have any better students. We know you will be a credit to our school after you leave us.
