Inner Workings Originally designed for recreational and dining facilities, the RECREATION HALL retains the dining facilities and a small area for recreation. Expansion problems have forced classrooms to encroach on ping-pong, billiards, tele- vision, and the juke box. But we get by. Take a whiff of the smoke on a rainy morning. The man who med to hum the midnight oil now hm iz Jon who harm the gas at midnight. Snugly tucked away on the campus is the BARRACKS, the sleeping quarters for the greater part of the resident cadets. Father Damian and Father Martin hover protective-ly within these walls. 3

We Dedicate the I 95 7 Keveille fa His Excellency THE MOST REVEREND LORAS T. LANE, D.D. Bishop of Rockford It is our honor and our privilege this year to offer our efforts in this book as a welcoming gift to our Bishop. From the day of his arrival in Rockford, November 19, 1956, to the present day, we have been happy to note Bishop Lane's interest in the youth of the diocese and his understanding of our problems. We like him and his ways. We hope he likes us despite our Ways. The Marmion Cadets salute His Excellency, THE MOST REVEREND LORAS T. LANE.
