istory as Made ll Current Seniors One bright September morn in the year i944-, two hundred and five bright-eyed boys came through the doors of M,armion to start the four most important years of their lives. Time flies. In 1948 only one hundred and twenty-three of those aspiring young men remain to take the sheepskin at graduation. A few additions came in along the way to account for the one hundred and twenty-eight graduates. It was a sharp cut, but the class is still the largest class ever to be graduated from Marmion. In military life, the class of '48 has been the dominant factor in the battalion for four years. Three years in succession the class has won honor school, and two years ago it gained the M. I. rating for Marmion. Through four years of academic work the class has contributed its share of geniuses and morons. The majority, however, form the great unwashed middle class. Memorable events must include the class's Hrst Military Ball, the class rings still retained, the blessing of the Abbot, and last but not least, the periodic vacations which cluttered up the bouts with the books. So, here it is graduation time. The road is branching out in all directions for the members of the class. Some go to work, and some go to college. For manv of us the roads will parallel one another, for others they will continue to spread wider apart, for a few the roads will cross again in years to come. Come what may in the future, we will remember Marmion for the good times and the bad times. Never will the friendships we formed at school fade from our memories. As our old friend Augus- te Rodin said: Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely . by T. J. MULVIHILL M. A. PASSAGLTA ..l8..
