The '77 Outlaw Band raised spirit at pep assemblies, football games, basketball games, and participated in competition at every chance. The entire band took part in District Marching Contest and District Concert Contest. Many chose to compete for additional honors such as All-Region Band and District En- semble Contest. Marlow was well represented at All-Region, and Dis- trict Ensemble Contest. saw eight qualify for state competition. The band's hard work was reward- ed with a trip to the Mardi Gras at New Orleans with the help of the Band Parems. The band was conditioned for the parade at Mardi Gras by mar- ching every day, working up to forty blocks. Two chartered buses were taken.
