At state at Norman the play also carried away another superior rating and Barbara Brown was selected to the all-state cast. Those qualifying for State in individual events were: Gloria Askey-Extemperaneous speaking, Barbara Brown-Birls' radio, and Ronnie Maston- Boys' radio. These two young ladies ended their high school careers with identical grade point averages to be named co-valedictorians of their class. Through four years of study both maintained a 3.9 average. In addition to their fine scholastic records both have contributed much to their school and classes in the field of leadership and citizenship.
