The Student Council of Marlow High School has a specific iob laid out for it, the building of a better school and community citizens through a program of active participation in school affairs. ln an effort to insure safe driving in the school zones, the Council issued Drivers Permits to those high school students who wish to drive their cars to school. The school newspaper, The Roundup, is organized each year by the Student Council. The Student Council has charge of all school and special assemblies and with the help of the student body makes the float for the football queen who is crowned at the homecoming game of the season. Since its organization in l95l, the group has discussed many ideas of school citizenship and problems which, from time to time, have been presented to the classes for discussion and consideration. .-42... The title of the play was NH1gh w1ndown.Barbare Brown starred as Emily Winthrop, the crippled murderess. The supporting cast included: Howard Best as Judge Stephen Crain, Arbuary Ritter, as the weak nephew, Walter Hodgeg Maudie Rife played Linda Norton, a reporter and Walter's fiancee , and Susie Hanson played Judith Ware, secretary- nurse to the late Warren Winthrop. We were given ratings of superior and first. We were certainly proud since we worked on the play less than a week and only had our speech hour and what little practice we could get in af- ter school and over the week-end. ROUNDUP STAFF.
