The courses were offered in block time. During this time the students received various skills in all the basic courses they needed pertaining to this area. The stu- dents began as juniors and finished as seniors. During this time the students had enough knowledge to obtain a reasonable job. Teachers in this area were lVlrs. Francis Allen, lVlr. John Admonius, lVlr. David lVlcCown, lVlrs. Joan Lutz, and lVlr. Robert Loescher. Industrial Arts offered a general background for future job placement. The divisions taught were draw- ing, wood working, electricity, and metals, taught by lVIr. Gary Dennis, lVlr. Walter Headley, lVlr. Howard Kirk, lVlr. Richard Parker, and lVlr.William Steeber. Industrial Arts filled the gap for general experience for the future. Industrial Arts was that part which allows a student to explore, identify and develop occupational interests in this area. The coeducational classes were family marriage and money management, both taught by lVlrs. lVlcIlroy, and bachelor living, taught by IVliss Holbein. New semester courses offered to junior and senior girls were tailoring and family foods vvhich were taught by Miss Vessels. lVlrs. Kardos taught inter- ior decorating, and Miss Young and lVlrs. Kamerer taught general home economics. Vocational agriculture helped prepare students for future agricultural careers upon graduation. This department included: horticulture and floraculture, taught by lVlr. Del-loff, tractor maintenance, livestock, and field crops taught by lVlr. Eaton, lVIr.
