Baseball, Golf Challenge Athletes Coached by lVlr. Tom Havertield, the 1969 baseball squad strove to improve their season. The team had a tough schedule in the Federal League and ended the season with a 9-9 record tied for 3rd. Senior Rex Higgenbotham was lVlost Valuable Player, and Sophomore Lynn Kesterke set a new lVlarlington batting record of 422. Lynn also made first string on the Federal League All-Star squad. The team set a new lvlarlington record with 77 stolen bases.
