Reserves, Frosh, Polish Techniques The Reserve Basketball team proved their skills by ending their season with an 8-10 record. Training in the art of playing good basketball came from Coach Jim Sabin. Offense vvas good vvith a balanced scoring attack, as vvas the defense. The young Dukes played the same schedule as the Varsity, playing their games immediately before the varsity game. The leading scorer during the season was Randy Digman vvith Ron Sigman next in line. Since most of these boys are only sophomores, much can be expected from them on varsity teams of the future. The Freshman Basketball team ended its overall season vvith a record of 4-l l. The offense and defense both had improved greatly by the end of the season. They came within one game of vvinning a trophy in tournament action at the end of the season. Leading scorer for the Frosh was lVlillard Yoder, and the leading rebounder vvas Don lVliller. Coach Bob Davis felt that the team deserves much credit for the terrific improvement they displayed over the season. Also, he believed that the team worked much harder than their record indicated. Also, credit should go to lVlr. Priest, vvho volunteered his services and was a great aid.
