Cheerleaders Hold Go Power l--LL VARSITY CHEERLEADERS-Domi Ney, Deborah lVloore, Debra Breit, Leslie Lanzer, LuAnn Haines. The job of the cheerleaders is to promote sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and spirit throughout the school. One of their specific duties is to attend all sports activities and to encourage the teams tovvard victory. Pep rallies are presented by the cheerleaders before many of the sports con- tests and many hours are given in the promotion ofa quality Duke Spirit among all the students. The captain of this year's squad, Debbie Breit, has done much tovvard insuring the needed leader- ship and to encourage a vvorking, cheering unit within the squad. Her leadership has been of great value to the cheerleaders. This summer the cheerleaders competed against 600 other cheerleaders at Kent State Uni- versity.
