Office Help ond Holl Guides Offered Help A studious hall guide? Hall Guides and Office Help proved to be very helpful this year at M.H.S. They made their services available at Open House in the fall, as well as throughout each week at school. Office helpers per- formed such tasks as being switchboard operators, and doing other secretarial work. The Hall Guides made them- selves available to help teachers whenever the need arose. Walker. the Future Farmers The purpose of this year's Future Farmers' Program was to develop confident rural agricultural leader- ship. Active in many fields of agri- culture, members participated in dairy, general livestock, and land judging contests. At Edgewood the F.F.A. members were involved in parliamentary procedures and placed second among the schools. A Nation- al Convention was held in Kansas City, Missouri, attended by several delegates. Also, other members par- ticipated in the state convention held in Columbus, Ohio. The Future Farm- ers worked on a twenty acre stretch of land, using various types of farm machinery and raising crops. This is the house that Jack built Pulling the weeds. wt

Weedling, K. Williamson. 49 The Y-Teens Club was one of the most popular with Marlington eighth and ninth grade girls this year. Their advisor, Mrs. France, proved very helpful in the planning and carrying out of their activities. Help in the Jr. High office was much ap- preciated and put to good use this year. The office helpers answered the phone when needed and ran errands for teachers and the secretary. The students who worked in the office learned responsibilities while working.
