Third Row: S. Schrader, M. Hagan. Faculty Were Showered by Future Teachers' Gifts During National Education Week Marlington teachers were presented various gifts from the Future Teachers. Among these gifts were oranges, chalk, personalized diplomas, and white carnations. Morning devotions were given by F.T.A. members as part of this program. The Future Teachers have been privileged to hear several guest speakers at their meetings. Two of those speakers were Rev. Soltz, who spoke on the Hough Area of Cleveland and Mrs. George Coul- ter, who presented a speech on her trip to Mexico. Future Homemakers of America helps make today's youth become tomorrow's homemakers. As a service club at Marl- ington, F.H.A. activities include such diverse projects as selling cookbooks, working with the Salvation Army, dressing Christmas dolls for underprivileged children, serving at athletic banquets, and giving programs at rest homes. Guest speakers are featured at the monthly meetings, and members partici- pate in demonstrations and discussions. The Marlington chapter is also active in county meetings and state conventions. Four delegates are elected each year to represent Marlington at the state con- vention in Columbus. The highlight of each year is the Mother Daughter Ban- quet, during which officers for the coming year are installed.
