Student librarians made it possible for pupils and faculty to have access to a variety of learning materials, which included books, magazines, film strips, and records. Some of their duties were pre- paring new books for circulation, repairing old ones, shelving books and magazines, charging out books, and checking for overdue books. Monthly meetings were held for the librarians at which they discussed library routines and popular books. At times a teach- er or outside speaker gave a talk on a particular book or led a discussion. Several field trips were taken to other libraries and the traditional Christmas party was held in December. 3 This year's fall play, Dear Me the Sky is Falling, was perform- ed by the Dramadukes on the eighteenth and nineteenth of November. The presentation of the play was fully enjoyed by all who attended. The purpose of the Dramadukes Club, under the direction of Mr. Purviance and Mr. Moore, has been to encourage But what are these people doing in my house? Marlington students to participate in dramatics and to promote interest and appreciation of the theatre. Eleven members of the Dramadukes were inducted as the National Thespian Society, which is a national dramatics honorary program. These eleven Drama- dukes earned their memberships 4 by accumulating points through participation in our school's dra- matic production.
