They were in charge of buying new books and magazines and repairing the old ones. They arranged cards for the card catalogue and put books away. Their job was almost never done. 143 Mr. Darrell Sommers Mathematics

? Mr. Robert Moore Algebra Mr. Carlos Mason Mrs. Elda Meese Mathematics Geometry, Advanced Mathematics This year our math department stressed the idea that math is used in every walk of life. Math could be applied in the home, on the farm, or in business, no matter which form of it the student chose. ln every course from trigonometry to shop math, the students saw how this phase of education was much needed. No matter what the future would hold for them, the students knew math would be put to good use. Mrs. Grace Fteighard Mathematics, Latin I Mr. Wilmer Patterson Mathematics X- -3

.fl The science department this year gave the students an inside look at the past and a better idea of what the world would be like in the future. By experimenting with these ideas, the students saw what the world and its inhabitants looked like from the beginning of time up to the present. With the facts they received from these experiments, the students made their own decisions about the future of the world and themselves. The main idea stressed this year was, A look at tomorrow, with facts of today. i M C Mr. Gerald Graham Biology ' r. Kay Vaughn hemistry Mr. Craig Barnett t Science Ss 5 2 . i sg!
