JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Ten years ago a group of little boys and girls in their best caps and gowns started to school. Some held on to their mother's skirts and nearly died of fright when they were questioned. Some sat very still and won- dered just what it was all about. Still others wiggled around laughed talked and strutted about thinking themsely es very big indeed to be at- tendingschool. The years passed quickly ind 1928 found a good many of that same old gang who started off together still in Marlin High School Of course thev were not all thexe but the ma1or1ty had stayed They were all laugh ing and happy looking quite different from that little group of frightened voungsters who had started out togethei The timid ones the brazen ones and the indifferent ones were still to be observed however The years had drawn them close to each other and between them was a spirit of love and friendship The Juniors of 1928 were a yery peppy bunch and accomplished a great deal Although they did not do such a large amount of entertaining the qualitv of what they did was such a success that it more than made up for the small quantity Their sponsor Miss Kathiyn Campbell was probably the first reason foi their successful vear She was always ready and help ful with her clever ideas and encouraging words She was a trulv won derful sponsor and the Juniors were fortunate in having her On the entertainment list the Junior Senior Halloween Party came fnst To begin with the Seniois received cleyer little inyitations that at once aioused their interest and made them realize that the Juniors were quite a live wire bunch and that something unusual was likelv to happen on the night of October 28th And they weren t wrong When evervone assembled in the study hall on that memorable night the fun started Few will forget the Junior Senior Halloween Party of 1928 Various othei activities took place later the Junior Hay Ride and a few other minor en teltainments The Junior Senior Banquet considered the event of the year was also a huge success Altogether the Juniors of 1928 were a bunch of fun loving youngsters which any high school might have been proud to claim as its own PIQF I cnzfy I ca al .s A jo I io Y 10 L02 9102 0 5' OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOQ000000000000OOOOQOOOOOOOOOQOOOOO6900660004 J O 0 7 1 1 v O 0 , so 1 s 0 O s f v y O 6 , 1 , 1 1 , , OO K OO 1 ' 2 jqgoj Y V W . . . .
