Board of Education Alfred G. Amundsen, superintendent, Robert Willis, William McCrea, pres- ident, Kenneth Redmond, treasurerg Charles Wood, seoretaryg George Teale, The Marlette Community School was organized in its present form in 1935. Only Mr. McCrea of the original five-member Board of Education re- mains as a member of the board. Of the other four members Mr. Redmend and Mr. Wood have each served six years, Mr. Teale four years and Mr Willis two Years. ' ' Marlette Communitq School At the time that the school was re-organized in l935, many people thought that it was too large for the number of pupils--575--at that time. But now with lOOO pupils, the building and playground are very inadequate. And with the present rate of increase in the future, it will become impossible to provide space in the present building very shortly. The three first grades are now being housed in the Methodist Church house, and the Kindergarten in the Cottage. 3
