WOOD ELIZABETH CLASS HISTORY and 3 4 Cholr 5 4 In September, 1931, the Senior Jr Play B,51n,,s ynnaoer 'lass of 1944 was first organized br play 5t,ge lanaggr Cnly ten of that original class re main They are: Jean Benedict, Don Hazen, lmlma Fellows, Orpha Hazen, Iadelyn Heeney, Harry Johnsen, Mar garet lcGunesle, Dora Nixon, Lorna Redman, and Dave Smlth Were we ever proud when started passing classes with all of tre 'big k1ds'I Our seventh grade offlcers were Madelyn Heaney, president Mar garet McGunegle, vice president Jean Benedict, secretary Bob Patrick, treasurer ard Lorna Redman, Student Council representatlve with M155 Alice O'neil and lr Wallace Leslie as class sponsors In the e1ghth grade we elected for our officers, with the aid of our class advisors Mr Dale Halleck and lr lahlon Herrlck, Lorna Redman, president Mad elyn Heaney vice president Thelma Heussner, secretary Helene Seifferlein, treasurer and Bob Patrick, Student Council representatlve As Freshmen we nomlnated Bob Ross, preszdent Bob Patr1ck, vice president, Thelma Heussner, seoretaryg Wilma Fellows, treasurer and Lorna Red an, Student Counc1l representat1ve Our class sponsors were Kiss Mary Helen Bowman and lr Stanly Hayden When we were Sophomores, we elected as our officers Dick lclann, presldent, Bob Ross, vice president, Margaret hcGunegle, secretary, Ronald Moore, treasurer, Helene Seliferlein Student Council representative, with Miss eolda Stimson and Mr Floyd Horcutt as class advxsors We initiated the Freshmen class at a party in the evening just before an All F1gh party put on by our class Lorna Redman and Bob Patrick were secretary and treasurer of the Student Council As Juniors we chose to represent us Bob Ross, president Dave Smith, vice president, Donna H1lcin5er secretary Orpha Hazen treasurer and Margaret VcGun egle, Student Council representative Uiss Phyllis Wagner and lr John LaRue were the members of the faculty who advised us this year This year Bob Patrick was vice president of the Student Council year, and lt was a huge success le honored the Senlors at the Junior q6D10f Ban quot on April 23, and tte J Hop on April 30 As we entered the classroo s for our last year 1D these halls of knowledge, contrary to public op1n1on we d1d not feel very dignlfied We chose as our offi cers, Ray Kraft, Presl e t Madelyn Heaney, vice president, Helene Seifferlein, secretary, Audrey Smitt, treasurerg and Bob Patr1ck and Madelyn Heeney, Student Council representatxves Our class 8dV15OT8 were r Valter l1ckel Hxss Gerald lne ifford, and Mr Dale Hallack Bob Ross was Student Council presldent Our benlor year was the happiest, but it was saddened by the accidental death of D1ck Mcuann He is to be remembered as one of our outstandmng class members Our Senior play was a three act comedy entitled nProffessor, How Could You' It was very successful ard tie actors dxd a good ,ob wmth it Later in the year we held a 'sklp day and j s asout everyone sk1pped Those who didn't, had fun anyway The Senior 1rls' Tea, Class Day Assembly Bacculaureate, and Commencement wxll take pls e 1n the near 'utu e Ye shall also be guests of the Juniors at the J Hop on April 21, and at the un1or enlor Ba.quet on April 28.
