UUH PHIHCIPHL CONGRATULATIONS to the senior class of nineteen-hundred forty-nine on a job well done! wards of living. Books and lectures are only a small part of your education. Getting along with your fellow men, meeting all situations with a smile, giving a helping hand, being trustworthy, loyal, klnd, and generous are character traits which I hope you will carry with or you throughout the future years. Unless your education has taught you these traits, especially the ability to get along with people and to enjoy your work, you will not be happy no matter how much book learning you have. The experience you have had in compiling this yearbook, the first in the history of Marlborough Central School, exemplifies individual initiative and co-operative endeavor which should be of ines- timable value to you in life.
