Chrlsl-mas Achvntles Carols 81 Mlstletoe Home EC Club The Belles of Tomorrow met for the flrst t1me on October 3 The 67 members who were present elected the followmg offlcers Pres dent Mane Wrttensoldner Vxce Presxdent Tlllle Boldxzar Secretary E1leen W1se Treasurer Edna Dev1es Socxal Chaxrman Ruth Stetty Program Chaxrman Shnley McPherson The Da1sy Maes chased L11 Abner clear out of the plcturel L11 Abner IS probably st1ll runn1ng Pappy Yokum IS recuperat1ng 1n the wood shed But all the rest of the Dog Patchers were there at the Sadle Hawkms party Fnday n1ght November 10 Harry Fox and h1S orchestra prov1ded the mus1c for the round and square dancmg Glenn Berget called for the square dances Re freshments cons1sted of c1der and doughnuts Everyone agreed that 1t was a b1g n1ght for the tum1p term1tes A very mterestlng and 1nstruct1ve prcture Charm and Personahty Plus Character was presented to the school by the Club on February 28 A Chr1stmas party was held at the school December 19 G1flS were e changed and refreshments were served Many 1nterest1ng rtems were auctloned off at the Wh1te Elephant Sale whrch was held on March 7 The annual Mother and Daughter Banquet was held Wednesday evenmg May 8 The H1 Y boys d1d an excellent lob of serv1ng Mnxed Glee Club The M1Xed Glee Club under the patlent gundance of M1ss Brenn man was unusually large th1s year w1th s1xty n1ne members part1c1pat1ng They were scheduled to smg for a Chr1stmas program but on account of bad weather cond1t1ons the program was cancelled In the spnng the group gave a concert Wllh the glrls and boys both s1ng1nq three songs The g1rls songs were as follows Awake T1s Spr1ng The N1ght Has a Thousand Eyes and Three L1ttle Maxds The boys songs were March On Amerzca Jolly Farmer and The Bam Dance The entertarn ment was enyoyed by all On May 20 the group sang for Baccalaureate Serv1ce The1r Slnglnq was appreclated by the sen1ors 24 l O C I I I i W i . .
