We learn from the past. . . Improve for the future A class listens attentively as Mr. Kellerinstructs them in history class. In U.S. history, students study about our country from the very beginning. The history department strives to teach students the operations, methods, and princi- ples of our government so that they will be able to meet its prob- lems and recognize other gov- ernments which might be harm- ful to our fre edoms. It also strives to teach students how to meet and cope with the problems of to m o r r ow and to live better with our neighbors. we 5555 rrl gg , Deeann Kinsey and Noel Davis are learning the correct Mr. Keller and Barry Banks are looking for way to use the globe. Business was fun. . .in typing, rows com- peted in accuracy gamesg in shorthand, there were word spell-downs g in bookkeeping, the relief enjoyedwhen a problem came out correct- ly. The field of commerce diffe r e d from the regular curriculum and seemed like a com- pletely different world. All students, some time during their life, seek employment. Pupils enrolledin the business curriculum trained for specific office jobs in which they could use skills of shorthand and typing. In addition, bookkeeping training and office orientation were offered to broaden their business outlook. by ,Ni Everyone works like little beavers to get their answers to come out the same. 28
