In P,E, Coach Myatt teaches Douglas Lung how to air up a basketball and read the pounds of pressure. o growing notion During the first six Weeks, the Home Economics girls made red- checked curtains for the cottage. Later as their sewing skills im- proved they made a dress or suit. In cooking classes, they learned meal planning and table arrang- ing. To finish up this study, they staged a Cherry Pie Day with each girl baking a pie. The agricultural boys spent many hours in service for the school--pruning and planting trees chalking the football field and re- painting track equipment. They repaired gasoline engines as Well as learning to Weld and construct items from Wood. By attending the District Judging at Jonesboro, they concluded their studies on livestock and plants . Rules and regulations of group games are taught in physical edu- cation along with the routine exer- 9 cises. Intramural games motivate the students and add interest to the course.
