Class Prophecy We, the roving reporters, of the Confidential Magazine in making our annual S1ander Survey chose one of the larger towns in Arkansas, Marked Tree. Upon entering Marked Tree, we saw Jimmy Smith and Jim Turner hitch-hiking to West Memphis where they usually spend most of their time. Our first stop was at the high school. When we stopped we noticed that there was a football game being played. We went up in the stands to watch the game and there we saw the inseparable trio, Don- nie and Bonnie Comstock and Donald Fraley, sitting behind Brenda and Gerry Grant as they watched Gerry, Jr. running touchdowns. After the game was over we went in the school and found out that Dan- ny Canada would finally graduate this spring ancl that Jack Hosford is now typing 20 words a minute. Upon leaving, we passed J. C. Kelley and his grown son as they were walking to school. We noticed that Roseman Davis is the school's new night watchman. He seems to be especially cautious about any person around the school building that is carrying rocks. As we were walking down the street to see if there were any new businesses, we saw J. W. Single ton still in Doc's frying hamburgers, even though he'd rather be out on the river bank casting for a fGuarrJ. On down the street we passed the office of Dr. Blan Wilkins and we noticed Carol O'Roark was his receptionist. As we passed the new Reducing Salon, we found that it was owned by Polly Jo Day, Veannie Peters, and Shirlene Howard. We want to wish' them the very best of luck in their new invest- ment. At Holland's we found that Doris Lawson has been promoted to head cashier. When we stopped at the Club Neiswander, owned by Verle, for refreshments, we say Margaret Ausborne, singing to Jackie Ming, the Club's bouncer. We also noticed Harold Nichol's singing. His theme song was Jeannie With the Light Brown Hair . We were served by Frankie Verdict, who got his experience working at the Marked Tree High School Cafeteria. Next door to the Club Neiswander we saw a new French Restaurant and we found that Barbara Wright is the French interpreter. Page I5
