Guidance Counselors, MR. CURRIE MR. SIDENSTICK, MRS. HOOVER MR CURRIE Dear Students, Let me tell you what I see as I move through Mark Twain’s halls each day. Every one of you is so different that you can in one day leave me feeling happy and sad, proud and disappointed, content and concerned, peaceful and angry. I see all of this in the eyes of your teachers as they work harder than you may ever know to prepare you for what they know is ahead. And many of them really do care about what happens to you. A lot of you have come to Guidance this year. You have trusted us with you problems, dreams, and even your fears and worries. I hope we have been some help along with your teachers. And whether you will be here next year or in high school, just remember that there will be people all along the way to help you, listen to you, if you will look for them. Let me leave you with this poem written by an eighth grader last year and my answer to her:
