It seems like all we hear these days is no, no, no ... If there is something that you want to do, you better be- lieve that there is o rule to prevent it If you want to relax and enjoy eating a leisurely lunch in your car, don ' t plan on it unless you don ' t mind hav- ing your parking sticker revoked. Try wearing a club shirt which is not affili- ated with the school and you may find yourself wearing an apron from the cafeteria covering it. Have you gone to a school dance? If you have you probably know you need an I.D to get in and once you were there, you weren ' t able to enjoy watching or participating (if that ' s your thing) in break dancing. Having trouble finding a party for this weekend? It is not surprising since anyone caught distributing flyers is subject to disci- pline by the dean. Don ' t try walking through the halls with food or you con kiss your lunch good-bye as you are told to deposit it in the nearest trash can. Meet Yuvd Ashkenazi From Israel i This years foreign exchange student came all the way from Petha Tikva, Israel His name is Yuval Ashkenazi. When look- ing at him, one would think he was a na- tive Southern Californian with his blond hair and blue eyes Yuval ' s real home in Israel though is located in Southwestern Asia, halfway around the world from the United States The weather here in Cali- fornia. says Yuval, is very similar to Isra- els, and he loves it! There are so many other things Yuval loves about California Everything is big here and it ' s so beauti- ful! The largeness of everything here is extremely fascinating to him because he loves crowds and lots of people. He AFS couldn ' t have picked a better place to visit! GIRLS This is Yuval Ashkenazi ' s 1 in- terest. He thinks the girls here in sunny Cali- fornia ore great. Besides girls he enjoys tennis, driving, s urfing and going to places like Westwood, When he goes back to Israel he plans on becoming an airplane pilot which will take ten years of training. He wants to be a pilot because it gives one a sense of power which he loves. He wants to be rich and powerful.
