SENICDR HCN Every spring sixteen outstanding members of the iunior class receive one ot the highest honors attain- able at Mark Keppel High School - membership in the Senior Honor Society. The senior-to-be is pre- sented to the student body by the graduating mem- bers ot the Society at CI special assembly. The 16 chosen, 8 boys and 8 girls, wear proudly the gold symbol of their new group throughout the next year. The handsome Crown and Sceptre represents schol- arly achievement, service, leadership, and the finest citizenship to be found among our students. The student's daily pattern is a theme of sharp impressions and ideas. Each class brings new experiences in the infinite realm of knowledge, and new concepts to broaden the undertaking of life. Chemistry students discovering the structure of the atom . . . A Civics class discussing federal aid to education . . . The Aztec Band re- hearsing in the auditorium . . . The pattern is of a thousand pieces, singularly molded to give the school an aura of belonging to the character of humanity. An active and triumphant year has climaxed tor these worthy wearers of the Crown and Sceptre. Among their diverse proiects were the card sections at football games and hosting new students at the freshman assembly. In its five years of existence, the Senior Honor Society has proved deserving ot our respect and admirable recognition.
