Since we ot the stall have been endowed with unlimited powers, it occurred to us that it might be interesting to bring the little fellow to ye old HHalls ot Montezuma .. and this is what we have done. The atmosphere, the color, and the adventure ot his romantic age provide the theme tor our 1945 Teocalli. We are happy to show Lunch-a-Lot our school and the kids who make it . . . to entertain him as only young America can. iw ff' fx lf, Rfk, , :J s,i,f,,r,ru 5,,,m,e,s,tL ,M , -,Q ,W ffiff' vyfmfvg ,Mp 'LLM NVQ, 'l 'W f,fifQ,Q'J if W W U 'fbi -W if7?'f'1Lt P' iw ri- f V y,wL,,,-f,yp,4v jj' C'- ,V,,f9 L,,nf. ,QJA A, b2yfv ',, WJ .VU- fr'flQ: 'l' Q A fl, .4 ww .Sy w 5 S W R. xx x AQ ff ss fy -WMV M MMM Sl xxx x , .sf fi Q wwf 1 xx XE A ' X ' -,Q ,ma A QM 'mix N1 lm .X xsgxxx N Yxxu xx Mkk X X iw X QW x X wa 1 X mm ., x Wg Qiixg A w Q www K XX X xg E lv X, K Y x xq X NW xii 1 M X pc: 2 N in Q i' 511 , X153 I ii A X TKTQR N' in - A, 3, -: ..: K5 rffxffw x N' '- -fra: . x fit. Second, for keeping their party healthy and comfortable for two years on a desert island. Third, for returning to his servitude while Lord Loam claimed all credit for the violent struggle during their isolation. As the curtain rises, Crichton is ushering in the late arrivals for Loam's party. The butler is tall, stately and though he has a servants humbleness toward his master, he is proud of his superiority toward those in more menial positions, Soon after, the Loam family and a small servant staff, including Crichton and Tweeny, left for an ocean voyage, A storm wrecked the ship and cast this handful of people on a small island far from civil' ization. Due to Crichton's resourcefulness, the group gradually built up the necessary shelters and found food sources unknown to them boforo. Through this knowledge, the former servant became the leader. Thus two long years passed until one day a ship was sighted and they were rescued and taken home, lmmediately upon their arrival, Crichton once again became a reserved butler while Lord Loam was recognized for saving his family. The cast included following students: Bichard lvlilius, Crichton, Fred Tellenback, Lord Loamp Malcolm Sillars, Ernest, Gwen Edler, Catherine, Bosie Duff, Tweeney, Shirley Scully, Agatha, Bill Fussel, Treherne, l,oi': Doebbling, Lady Brocklehurst, Bill Hughes, Lord Brocklehiirst The play was directed by Mr. Bergman, lie was ably assisted by Barbara Hibbard, student director. Led by catcher Mike Kincaid, pitchers Len Lamont and Morris Moberly, shortstop Don Iones and third baseman Iim Marcott-all returning lettermen-the Keppel nine went through a successful practice season and then to a 14-game league season. Composed entirely of inexperienced racquetmen, last year's team compiled a record of four losses and six wins to place third in the league. This season we are much more fortunate in that only two of the members of last year's varsity net squad graduated. Their places have now been ably filled by members of last year's junior varsity, and the team is now looking forward to a successful season. The slate this season is composed of fourteen league encounters, plus a number of practice matches. Expected to be outstanding for the Hornemen are Iack Kirven and Dale Carpenter, who hold down the number one cmd number two singles positions respectively. The Iune graduation will deal a severe blow to next year's prospects. The team will lose Howie Forehan, Art Hughes, Don Newhouse, Dick Eddy, Dale Carpenter, and lack Kirven, but with returning lettermen Walt Thornhill, Bill Woerner, and Gordon Roberts, and with Coach Horne, who is rated are of the best prep tennis mentors in Southern California, Keppel can well look forward to a winning team again in 1946.
