By winning the meet in Philomath the Swimming Spartans were the unofficial state champions. Nugent High- lights Winning Grappler Season Senior Bill Nugent led the Spartans to a 5-2 league record and earned himself an undefeated season. Led by Nugent the Spartans moved quickly through Sky- Em Conference opponents losing only to Creswell and Douglas. The season was capped off with Nugent's State Championship and Scott Revis's Second Place. Jim Dwyer came in 6th at State. A team record of 73 falls helped the Spartans dominate many of their op- ponents. Coach Jack Olson will lose 8 Senior wres- tlers via graduation.
