FROQH-SOPH FOOTBALL LOOK FOR SUNLIGHT is. The Sophomore football team enjoyed a fine season finishing with a record of 7-1-1. Contributing factors in the team's success were hard work, pride, desire, and total unselfishness. The highlight of the season occurred at Notre Dame when, with three minutes left in the game and trailing by two touchdowns, the Redskins staged a furious comeback to pull out a 22-20 victory. The two-year mark of the football class of 1980 now stands at 15-2-1. The main goal of the team members is to improve upon that record in the next two yea rs. The Freshman football team started out slowly when they lost four out of their first five games. All the games were fiercely fought and very close. They lost 2-O to Notre Dame, 12-8 to St. Pat's, and 6-O to Carmel. They quickly turned things around at Holy Cross and defeated them 21-12 to knock them out of first place. The next week they beat St. Joe's 41-6 and finally ended the season by trouncing St. Viator 26-7.
